About Us
Alan's Angels is a Christian non-profit organization committed to providing comprehensive support to mothers of unplanned pregnancies who have chosen life. Our services include supplying clothing, diapers, car seats, and other necessary items for children up to four years old, delivered directly to their homes in thoughtfully prepared boxes of hope. We also organize baby showers and offer gift registries to celebrate and support new mothers.
A unique and vital aspect of our work is our dedication to sharing the gospel with every family we serve. We believe in the power of spiritual nourishment alongside material support, and we are passionate about discipling families and connecting them to biblical local churches in their area. Our goal is to create a supportive community where mothers and their children can thrive both physically and spiritually.
Alan's Angels was inspired by the life and legacy of Alan Henningsen, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who passed away from ALS in 2021. Born in Greensburg, Indiana, and residing in Baltimore, Maryland, Alan was a world-renowned marine biologist who dedicated much of his life to helping others. He was a tireless advocate for the voiceless, often found standing up for the unborn at local abortion clinics and offering assistance to mothers, fathers, and their children.
Although Alan is now in glory with his Savior, Jesus Christ, his memory and mission live on through Alan's Angels. We are honored to continue his legacy of compassion and service, acting as earthly angels and ambassadors of Christ, delivering hope and practical assistance to those in need.
SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE
At Alan's Angels, we provide counseling to mothers and their families to help them navigate difficult situations, offering both practical support and a listening ear. Our services extend beyond physical assistance, as we prioritize spiritual guidance to point families to Christ, knowing that the gospel has the power to transform lives for eternity.
In collaboration with local churches, we ensure that mothers receive holistic care, addressing their immediate needs while also nurturing their spiritual growth. By working with these communities, we create a network of support that helps families find hope and stability, firmly rooted in the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.
COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT
At Alan's Angels, we are committed to supporting mothers in need by providing essential supplies for their children up to 4 years old. Through our "Box of Hope" program, we give or ship boxes filled with crucial items such as clothing, diapers, and car seats, along with gospel resources to nurture both physical and spiritual growth. Additionally, we organize baby showers for expecting mothers, offering them joy and encouragement during this significant time.
We partner with local churches to identify and assist mothers in need, ensuring they receive comprehensive support. By working closely with these communities, we can effectively reach those who require help, providing not only material aid but also spiritual guidance and a loving, supportive network. Through these efforts, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of mothers and their children.
RESOURCE CENTER
Our Resource Center is a valuable hub designed to connect mothers in need with a wide array of beneficial resources. Through our online platform, mothers can access information on various support services, including material assistance, counseling, and spiritual guidance. The center also provides links to external organizations and programs that offer additional help, ensuring comprehensive support for every aspect of their journey.
Mothers can fill out the Assistance Request form on our website to initiate the process of receiving aid. Once submitted, our team will work closely with them to develop a personalized plan of support, tailored to their specific needs. This collaborative approach ensures that each mother receives the help she needs to thrive, both physically and spiritually.
