The Hope Movement provides nutrition to those in desperate need of food in collaboration with sharing the Gospel and providing other resources to meet their spiritual and physical development. This is accomplished through church-based feeding centers, orphanages and special outreach missions in partnership with indigenous pastors and missionaries in the countries where we work.

The Hope Movement answers the Christian’s call to care for the orphan and widow through the support of orphanages and church-based foster programs around the world. In 2016, we established a Hope Movement in Kenya and are legally registered in Kenya as a non-profit with a board and volunteer team of Christians. Along with helping orphans in various nations when God provides the opportunity we have an on-going commitment to care for over 120 orphans in Kenya and this number is increasing.

Annoucement: Project 001

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. With sadness but also with complete trust in our sovereign God and optimism for what is to come we have to announce the elimination of the project 001 Haven of Hope Center in Escuintla, Guatemala. Funds have been limited as we need to increase our number of monthly donors and we were not receiving enough donations each month starting at the end of 2016 and entering into 2017 to be able to pay salaries to our staff operating the center. After informing the staff and giving them two months payment to help in this transition they decided not to continue the work although we were going to continue to offer monthly support to this center as The Hope Movement is the founder and operator of this center and just operate with volunteers as we do with our other centers and less days a week. So the center under The Hope Movement will temporarily close and we will work on raising funds to reopen in Escuintla in another location if it's God’s will and focusing more on planting a church, evangelism, Christian education in a school for children with the greatest financial needs and nutrition. In the meantime we have three other projects in Guatemala which are providing the same services in Nuevo Amanacer (Project 003), San Juan Sacatepequez (Project 004) and Villa Lobos (Project 005). We will also be working on evangelistic missions to many areas including Escuintla. Along with our work in Guatemala we are now caring for orphans and widows in Africa and expanding our spread of the Gospel to many nations including the United States.

Power of Grace: Baltimore Mission

On April 8, 2017 group of volunteers worked at our transformed vacant lot on North Ave. in Baltimore City which is now the Haven of Hope Community Garden. We put up a small banner in the front of the garden which says "Need Prayer" and a Bible verse from Romans. As we were working in the garden people began to come to us seeking prayer not for things but for a change in their life. One lady came running up to us and asked where was the sign about Grace. I had just moved the sign to the side and she said I have been clean for 5 months and everytime I walk past this Garden I look at that sign and it reminds me of God's grace and my need to change. The sign says Grace is not an excuse to remain in your sin but a reason to love him more fully. The gospel was preached as many came seeking prayer and seeds were planted. To God be the glory.

Essential Convictions

Missions is an Impossibility apart from the Power of God. All men of every culture are born radically depraved, at enmity with God, and restraining the truth. The conversion of a man and the advancement of missions are an absolute impossibility apart from the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit in the regeneration of the individual and the life of the church. Many church growth strategies and mission methodologies often overlook this essential truth.

The Hope Movement teaches pastors, church elders, teachers and all Christians how to preach the Gospel by breaking down the Bible teaching the profound truths that can be found by analyzing each verse rather simply teaching a topical message. At times topical messages are necessary in order to discuss certain church issues and to help in discipling the body of Christ. Topical messages should be rare and we should preach and teach verse by verse to help avoid misinterpretations, reveal hidden truths and gain a greater knowledge of God and his plan for humanity. In teaching the Bible verse by verse we find the answers to all of our questions, expose sin and draw us to a closer relationship with God as 2 Timothy 3:16-17 states all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

God has provided a wheelchair for this precious little girl in El Salvador. The Hope Movement is honored to be used by God for His glory and to partner with our dear brother Oscar Alfaro.

Question: "What is the doctrine of the sufficiency of Scripture? What does it mean that the Bible is sufficient?"

Answer: The doctrine of the sufficiency of Scripture is a fundamental tenet of the Christian faith. To say the Scriptures are sufficient means that the Bible is all we need to equip us for a life of faith and service. It provides a clear demonstration of God’s intention to restore the broken relationship between Himself and humanity through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior through the gift of faith. No other writings are necessary for this good news to be understood, nor are any other writings required to equip us for a life of faith.

Help Feed and Educate Children

We provide over 3,000 meals every month in our Haven of Hope centers in Guatemala. Unfortunately people have not been consistently donating although we have been consistently doing the work each day helping those in need.

We are lacking funds to continue and we need your help to continue feeding, educating and counseling children and families in Guatemala.

Please give a donation to help us continue to help vulnerable children in Guatemala and around the world.
