Tables and Chairs Needed

We have 6 centers throughout Guatemala providing thousands of meals each month. We have so many children and families that we are in desperate need of tables and chairs, nothing fancy just plastic tables and chairs where they can eat and learn comfortably and with dignity.

Please consider giving a donation today to help purchase tables and chairs!

Visit a slum in Guatemala City where we found over 70 children who have lost at least one parent to violence, incarceration or abandonment. At these 13 have no mother or father and many are raising their younger brothers and sisters and they are no more than 12 years old themselves.Visit a place filled with broken houses and broken homes, families crying out for hope. Visit our new feeding/ education center and see the children receiving a meal, education, counseling and most of all hope. Visit families transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. In June 2014 The Hope Movement mission team visited Nuevo Amanecer located in Guatemala City, a large slum consumed with violence caused by heartless gangs. We met with over 50 children and their Mothers and they explained that all of the children lost their Fathers to violence. One Father was selling ice cream a week before to support his family and was murdered for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Jonathan Roiz, founder of The Hope Movement said to the children from this day forth you now have a Father for we are making a commitment to you to bring transformation to your families and community. A month later in July 2014 we opened the feeding/ education center and will soon be planting a church for this community which will also be the new location for our outreach programs. The church/ outreach center will allow us to not only feed the hungry but feed their soul bringing them closer to Jesus Christ where they can find true lasting hope and peace.

Witness hope rising in this beautiful mountainous indigenous community. Witness children in traditional Indian attire who work instead of going to school because they have to find food for their families, but now have a place to receive a meal, education, counseling and love. Witness a community plagued with indigenous pagan religious beliefs but now have a church where they can learn about the love of Jesus Christ. For several years The Hope Movement has been traveling into this mountain village to minister to the people who have been forgotten by society. We travel up a mountain by car, walk down the hillside, cross a river and walk up a hillside to arrive in this village. The pastor has been ministering to this community for over four years and has a small church made of wood and pieces of metal. The indigenous people survive off the land, making their own traditional clothing, planting vegetables and raising animals. The Hope Movement will be building a cement church building by the river for easier access for the community and in 2014 we installed a water well and purification system to provide clean water to the people. In July 2014 we opened a feeding/ education center in the church where over 50 children who do not attend church are coming to the center to receive a hot meal, education, counseling and love. This outreach center is opening the doors to reach the families for Jesus Christ, breaking the bondage of pagan religious traditions, abuse and hopelessness.

The rainfall has caused landslides, washed away houses and flooded roads in Kenya near were our partners live and care for orphans. Just after they purchased food with the donations The Hope Movement sent a few weeks ago heavy rains hit the poor community where Pastor Frederick has dedicated his life to preaching the Gospel, helping the poor and rescuing orphans.
