Hope Movement Registered in Kenya

The Hope Movement is now not only registered in the United States, we are now registered in Kenya.

We have no right to water-down the Gospel’s offense or civilize its radical demands in order to make it more appealing to a fallen world or carnal church members. Our churches are filled with strategies to make them more seeker-friendly, by repackaging the Gospel, removing the stumbling block and taking the edge off the blade so it might be more acceptable to carnal men. We ought to be seeker-friendly but we ought to realize that there is only one seeker and He is God. If we are striving to make our church and our message accommodation, let us make them accommodating to Him. If we are striving to build a church or ministry, let us build it on a passion to glorify God and a desire not to offend His Majesty. To the wind with what the world thinks about us. We are not to seek the honors of earth, but the honors of heaven.

Where is your Family?

The director of The Hope Movement moved back to Baltimore for several reasons but one was ministry. We are converting vacant lots on North Ave into Haven of Hope Community Gardens in connection with prayer, evangelism and mentorship. Christians have not been passionate about working in this area and so he brought his family to do the work. We hope you will hear the heart of God and see the mission field in your backyard.

On August 13, 2016 since no one from the churches or area are answering the call, he took his family down to North Ave. to landscape the garden. He shared online "My family is doing mission work in Baltimore, where is your family?". He said this to push the church to become eternally minded and although its fine to at times enjoy the man-made delights with your family, it is more important to glorify God by teaching your family to serve God and serve other showing the love of Christ and sharing the Gospel.

Devotion: Valley of Bones

We live in uncertain times, a new rise of public display of racism, violence, political turmoil, displaced people and hatred for them, turning away from God, poverty, slavery, hatred, watered down doctrine in our churches leading millions further from Biblical truths. Millions inside and outside of the church walls who if Jesus returned today would hear the dreaded words “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

We must begin to change the way we view our faith in Jesus and how we view others. We must decide if we are going to practice what we preach and seek holiness and answer the call. We must see others as eternal souls and become passionate about Preaching the Gospel.

New Video: Revival - Jonathan Roiz

Sociology says tribal mentality causes divide. Theology says it is our sin, because we don’t see each other as souls. There is an African greeting that as we would say hello, the translation would be I see you.

See the world does not see each other as souls, they are dead to sin. Sadly many professing Christians have been guilty of this as well.

We focus on the momentary problems, situations, worries and delights here on earth. We place so much attention, waste so much time on things of this world that we fail to see the big picture, we are not eternally minded. So I ask, are the things we are living for worth Christ dying for?

Parts of this message has contributions by Pastor Craig Cole, Carlton Hall and BJ Rudge

In Kenya, Africa there is a wonderful man named Pastor Fredrick Manhanu. He pastors a small church of 100 people and has a heart for the poor. For the last 5 years Pastor Fredrick has been working with 33 orphans who lost their parents because of HIV/AIDS, Malaria or abandonment. Not having an orphanage he did something creative, he called upon the church to be the hands of God and open their homes to these precious children. The church members responded and that birthed a foster program where church members are caretakers of these 33 orphans. The Hope Movement is helping to cover the children’s expenses so that they can eat 3 times a day and go to school to receive a quality education giving them hope for a brighter future and breaking the cycle of poverty. They also in need of basic assistance as there caretakers are not wealthy with material goods, but rich in love, so they are in need assistance to purchase bedding supplies, clothing and shoes, cover medical expenses and mosquito nets for their beds to protect them from malaria.

In the inner city near North Avenue the first thing you will notice are the abandoned homes, no parks, no recreational centers, no place for youth to go but hang out in the streets. Jonathan Roiz, Founder/ President of The Hope Movement grew up in Baltimore and never forgot his roots. He faced violence, poverty; he witnessed the hurt of the people and walked in their shoes. The Hope Movement working along with local churches, community leaders and the community itself has a vision to develop a strategic plan of action to transform the most impoverished communities in Baltimore City into havens of hope. Baltimore City has developed an agreement with The Hope Movement to adopt and manage 7 vacant lots where gangs, poverty, drugs, alcoholism, violence and family dysfunction are consuming the people. The Hope Movement mobilizes a local movement of people from churches and the community to unite and volunteer their time to develop these lots into community gardens, safe parks for families and filling these areas with positive messages of hope and inspiration. While working on these lots in collaboration with the community, the Hope Movement marches down the streets praying for the community and conduct evangelistic events and street outreach at the lots and in the streets sharing a message of hope, counseling youth and adults, provide mentorship, pray with the people and document their cases to provide referrals to assist them with their needs.

We live in a society that desperately is in need of Biblically prepared leaders to respond to the questions and challenges that we are facing during these final days. This is not an easy task in a world that is in constant change and transformation. SEEDS OF HOPE Bible Institute, with the help of God and under the guidance of Holy Spirit addresses these needs by offering leaders in Latin America and around the world quality instruction and essential training for effective ministry. SEEDS OF HOPE also provides a safe environment where leaders can share their experiences, concerns and desires with other fellow servants. The Hope Movement Seeds of Hope Program for Leadership Studies offers pastors and leaders the opportunity to study the Bible in a systematic, contextualized, practical and creative way while at the same time teaching them how to share the Word of God in a comfortable yet powerful atmosphere. Objectives: To develop each student into an effective minister of the gospel, leading to a ministry that is fully guided by the Holy Spirit. Purpose: To establish an interdenominational Christian institute to train men and women called to ministry and develop ministries that go with the flow of God reaching outside of the four walls of the comfort zone to impact nations. Witness a churches going back to their Biblical roots and preaching a non-watered down message from God based on Biblical principles.
