I thank you, Lord, with all my heart; I sing praise to you before the gods. I face your holy Temple, bow down, and praise your name because of your constant love and faithfulness, because you have shown that your name and your commands are supreme. You answered me when I called to you; with your strength you strengthened me. All the kings in the world will praise you, Lord, because they have heard your promises. They will sing about what you have done and about your great glory. Even though you are so high above, you care for the lowly, and the proud cannot hide from you. When I am surrounded by troubles, you keep me safe. You oppose my angry enemies and save me by your power. You will do everything you have promised; Lord, your love is eternal. Complete the work that you have begun. — Psalm 138
This past September we traveled to Bungoma, Kenya and shared the Gospel. Many said they never heard this Gospel straight from the Bible because most missionaries come only to recruit people to their denomination, or put on a show but never truly teach what the Bible says. So we taught Theology 101, everything you didn't learn in Sunday School. Teaching about who is God, our purpose to glorify Him, sin and depravity, justification, adoption, sanctification and revival. We left with them a manual we created so that they can continue this study and grow. The Bible studies are continuing and the people are growing spiritually as they study the word of God.
From October 19th - 21st our Haven of Hope center in Escuintla, Guatemala organized a bible school for the children while on school vacation. Children came in the morning and enjoyed a delicious nutritious breakfast. Throughout the day the children had a wonderful time enjoy a variety of activities, bible lessons, dramas and games. They learned from the Bible verse Ephesians 6:10-18 and focused also on the importance of studying the Word of God.
It was a wonderful week and we are seeing positive results. Children who came to our center malnourished are now healthy. Children who come from troubled families and arrived with serious behavioral problems are maturing and learning at our center about obedience, compassion and love. Most importantly we are seeing the fruits of the seeds we have planted in the lives of the children and adults over the years and the Holy Spirit is doing the work in their hearts.
Please keep our Haven of Hope center and all of our centers in prayer and also become a monthly financial partner to keep these wonderful programs going.
Sorry but what does posting what you post online help, certainly not unifying, certainly not advancing the Gospel. God’s will that takes precedence over everything and everyone (Matthew 6:33). God’s plans and purposes are fixed, and His will is inviolable. What He has purposed, He will bring to pass, and no government can thwart His will (Daniel 4:34-35). because “the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes” (Daniel 4:17). Even though evil men abuse their political power, meaning it for evil, God means it for good, working “all things together for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
We as Christians are consumed with self, our family, our nation. but the word of God says. Philippians 3:20-21, But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. 21 He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control. Time to be eternally minded.
Pray for those in leadership, edify your brothers and sisters, be a light in a dark world!
So no doubt we need immigration reform, protect borders from criminals, but know the facts, majority of crimes....by citizens, and if you had empathy you would place yourself in other shoes. Imagine your family is starving, suffering, and just a few hundred miles away there is hope for them, but the process is abusive, oppressive, expensive and while trying to do everything legally your family is starving....now what you do? Its time for us to see others as souls and not their status and react Biblically. Here are 12 passages that discuss how Christians should treat immigrants, refugees and those in need of help.
You are The Hope Movement, we are a team in the work of God, we can not fulfill our calling without you. Just as our calling is to go and work in the mission field to transform lives, you have a profound calling to give to help sustain the work being accomplished.
As the word of God has directed us in 2 Corinthians 9, "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
I am trying to find the words to express to you my Lord how I feel about my love for you, the honor I feel to be called by you and the love I feel for those whom we serve and those who help us serve them. I long to be a radiance of your presence, that when they look at me, they don't see but you. I hunger to be close to you and bring others closer to you.
I cry for those in need and feel their pain as if it were happening to me. I feel your anguish for your heart is connected to my heart. I am consumed by my awe of you and the responsibility that you have called me to do. I don't want to fail you or others but rather long to make you proud of me, not for ego, but because I love you so much that I want to make you smile and bring joy to others. I trust you with every fiber of my being. I am in awe how last year we lived 100 percent on faith, not knowing how we were going to pay expenses but you never failed us and always provided.
Fatherless, Motherless, Hopeless the result of selfishness. Longing for a loving caress. Drowning in the abyss of society’s lack of knowledge that I exist. Imagine you in my place, the result of human disgrace. 100,000,000 like me. More slavery now than in history. In the U.S. alone 50,000 women and children are trafficked annually. They abide where you reside. But you never heard their cry. This is an emergency for a movement of hope. Psychological contamination fed into the blood stream from generation to generation. Family disintegration. The definition of family in a state of disintegration. But there is a hope for family reconciliation. Impoverished souls, in impoverished conditions. Self medication suffering from hope malnutrition. The face of racism changed from segregation to immigration. But there is a hope for the purification of the heart pollution.
