In December we were able to continue to provide for the school tuition and supplies for our 120 orphans. Along with that we had a wonderful celebration of Jesus as we all came together to eat and fellowship.
A number of men and women were also able to attend a conference to learn more about Biblical truth which they will in turn then teach in their local churches.
God is doing a great work in Kenya and He deserves all of the glory.
Please get involved by giving a donation so we can continue this important work in Kenya by giving online or by mail.
This past week The Hope Movement sponsored part of our team in Kenya who pastor churches and care for orphans to attend a special conference 2 hours away from Bungoma in Kisumu. Pastor Conrad Mbewe was one of the pastor's who preached during this conference and he is considered the Charles Spurgeon of Africa.
This conference was to provide sound doctrine in a place that has been consumed by false teachings and give a solid Biblical foundation to go a take the knowledge gained to preach the Gospel and revive churches bring them back to the sufficient Scriptures and sovereignty of God.
Below is the testimony of our team who attended this conference, Soli Deo Gloria (To God Be The Gloria Alone)
We happy to announce that 3 of our children who are orphans in Kenya have passed their exam and will be progressing from primary school to secondary. Praise be to God and we are very proud of their accomplishments.
Please remember that The Hope Movement cares for 120 orphans in Kenya and we are now entering a new year. We need $1,000 monthly to continue to provide scholarships, food, school supplies for each child ias well as purchase Swahili Bible's in 2018. Please prayerfully consider making a donation today or become a monthly partner.
Dear Brother Jonathan and our dear friends and our lovely supporters and of all team,
Greetings to you all in the Name of Jesus trusting that you are all doing fine in the Lord Jesus Christ. We all appreciate your humble and kind consideration of the orphans and widows here in Kenya by showing us and the orphans plus the widows that they are also son and daughters of God and valued by Him God. This has deeply encouraged and challenged the orphans especially those in high schools who really did well in class performance as well as those in primary schools as we wait for others who will be sitting for their class eight examinations which we expect good results . Friends this noble work you have been used by God to do to us here in Kenya Bungoma.
June and July 2017 Report:
Greetings of our Lord Jesus Christ to you all this just to extend our gratitude to you all for what God is using you to accomplish especially in Kenya Bungoma Hope Movement. It proofs to us the beauty of God and providence that is divine. The orphans were able to go to school and had good time in school and attended all lessons, dear ones we are proud of you for much work you have done for the fees and food that you supported us and the orphans. We have had much rain which caused one of the widow’s houses to collapse/fall down so we are looking for a way on how we can construct/build another house for her as God provides. The Hope movement team has unity and we are working together as bees and ants. We trust God that much is going to be accomplished. It has been of recommendable and appreciative work done through you all friends in the USA.
Thanks to the generosity of our precious donors we have been able to increase our monthly giving to The Hope Movement - Kenya orphans from $520 a month to $983 a month providing scholarships for Deborah Murunga so that she study in college to be a teacher, KERREN Nafula, Sofia Nekesa, Hillkia Walekhwa, Faith Neema who are studying in High School along with covering the tuitions for 115 orphans who are in primary school including their food and school supplies. We are also purchasing Bibles in Swahili for those without a Bible.
Each week over people are learning Theology through a program we developed and Pastor Frederick and the team have been doing an amazing job in teaching the Gospel and caring for these precious children.
Please continue to support this project. There are many more orphaned children in need of help but we can't do it without your financial support.
Soli Deo Gloria (To God be the Glory)
This past September we traveled to Bungoma, Kenya and shared the Gospel. Many said they never heard this Gospel straight from the Bible because most missionaries come only to recruit people to their denomination, or put on a show but never truly teach what the Bible says. So we taught Theology 101, everything you didn't learn in Sunday School. Teaching about who is God, our purpose to glorify Him, sin and depravity, justification, adoption, sanctification and revival. We left with them a manual we created so that they can continue this study and grow. The Bible studies are continuing and the people are growing spiritually as they study the word of God.
We just returned from Kenya and witnessed great need but also hope pouring into the lives of children and widows through a team of pastors and nurses. The children we met were orphaned by the death of parents and abandonment and were rescued by a local pastor and his team.
The Hope Movement registered as a Kenyan non-profit and we are managing this project in Kenya. We saw a great need to purchase additional land and build houses for the children to reside. With the land they will be able to sustain the program through farming and in time a school will be constructed for the children.
The Hope Movement is now not only registered in the United States, we are now registered in Kenya.
